There have been enough studies done by many Psychologists that the child starts to recognize voice and emotions   (tonality), while being in the mother’s womb from the Third Trimester. This recognizing and understanding keeps happening very profoundly through the early years. The child’s first purpose is to make the parents happy. This is learnt by the child through trial and error, and over time in the early years, the child also learns how to get what the child wants. The different ways to please the different parents is also understood and learnt. Most of the initial learning is by recognizing the tonality and body language of the parents. I still doubt whether any time ever we ask the end user & main stake holders of this system exactly that - what they want? Where our focus should be? What is the demand and how to fulfill it? What other countries are doing? In my all case studies, I found in education we talk too much of philosophy. Across India, I have visited many good schools and quite ornamented and flowery Vision Statement in the lobby. They too have all good words in their mission statements. They have all good things to speak. But these are not quantifiable & measurable. Today every parent is having hard core consumerist approach.
